1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ImageResized at https://imageresized.com, operated by Hugo Rafael Jácome Antunes, an individual based in Portugal. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
ImageResized provides online image conversion and processing (formats, resize, crop, quality, background removal, favicon generation, etc.). Features may change. Processing runs on our servers; you need a compatible browser and internet connection.
3. Accounts
- An account is required to use the converter and download results after any trial limit.
- You must provide accurate information and keep credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. Paid plans and payments
- ImageResized may offer free and paid features or subscription plans. Prices, limits, and billing periods are shown before you pay.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store your full card number; the provider handles payment data under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Unless stated otherwise at checkout, fees are charged in advance for the selected billing period. Failed payments may suspend paid features until resolved.

5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content (including malware or illegal imagery)
- Attempt to bypass usage limits, security, or access controls
- Overload or disrupt the service (automated abuse, scraping beyond normal use)
- Use the service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights
6. Your images and content
You retain ownership of images you upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit them solely to provide the service. You represent that you have the rights to upload and process the content.
7. Our intellectual property
The website, software, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or code except as needed to use the service.
8. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, or force majeure may cause downtime. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that outputs will meet every use case (e.g. print, legal, or medical accuracy).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the service in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in that period for the service, or (b) EUR 50, except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese or EU law.
10. Consumers in the EU/EEA
If you are a consumer, you may have mandatory rights under local law (including Portugal) that cannot be waived by contract. Where the law grants a withdrawal right for distance contracts, exceptions may apply to digital services fully performed with your consent — contact us if you have questions.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability limits, governing law, intellectual property) will survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Portugal shall have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections allowing you to bring claims in your country of residence where applicable.
